Start your morning with an energizing Vinyasa-style yoga class designed for all levels, with plenty of modifications to help you move at your own pace.

  • Taught by Sarah Emery, a local movement instructor based in Brevard, NC, at Pilates Brevard and Carolina Dance Collective.
  • Pay-what-you-can accepted via Cash, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal.
  • BYO mat and water. Yoga blocks are provided.
  • Rain or shine (unless thunderstorm, for cancellations visit this page or facebook.com/brevardlumberyardyoga)
  • Practice accompanied by music to enhance the experience
  • If you need cushioning for your knees on concrete, consider bringing a blanket or towel
  • Street parking available on King St., Railroad Ave., or at the Jimmy Harris Railroad Depot Park at 390 Railroad Ave

  • August 2026—proceeds went to the Brevard Bike Alliance. Brevard Bike Alliance uses engagement, education, and advocacy to enhance human-powered transportation and recreation. They believe safety, access, and equity strengthen our community. They are committed to seeing the Brevard Bike and Pedestrian Plan realized in the Brevard, NC community.
  • July 2026—proceeds went to the Augustine Literacy Project in Brevard, NC. It is the mission of Augustine Literacy Project-Brevard to help improve the reading, writing, and spelling abilities of low-income students who struggle with literacy skills. The project trains and supports volunteer tutors who provide free, long-term, 1:1 instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach and Wilson Reading System® materials.
  • June 2026—proceeds went to Sharing House and its Wheels to Work program. Sharing House is a community organization dedicated to helping under-resourced residents in Transylvania County. Founded in 1981 by local congregations, it now includes over 48 congregations and thousands of individuals and businesses working together to support our neighbors. They assist housed individuals and families struggling with bills, unhoused residents, the elderly, and the housebound by providing funds for utilities and rent, nutritious food, clothing, showers, and empowerment programs.
